This week the topic for the Five Minute Friday link-up post is Green. What is a link-up? Essentially a link-up is when you join other bloggers and write on a similar topic. You share your blog posts with one another and begin conversations via a host site. You can head over to Kate Motaung’s page to check out other entries from inspired bloggers. Here’s my five minutes of uninterrupted, unedited writing on this week’s topic:
In the color of green I see new life.
A clean slate. A new start. Everything made right.
In the color of green I feel clean and pure.
Green earth. Green foods. Healthy for sure.
In all the things fading, aging, dying…
The color of green is no where thriving.
In the first green of spring hope springs forth;
After a winter locked up and now bringing new birth.
Green is alive with a heart all its own.
For green is the start of all that is grown.
This is just a silly poem about the color green and the feelings that this color invokes within me. Thanks for reading!
Visiting from Five Minute Friday – I loved your poem! I feel the same way about green!
